Congratulations to Brynn Moore of the Gibault Hawks on being named our Libero of the Year.
What makes this recognition even more impressive is that Brynn is ONLY A SOPHOMORE! In just two seasons, she has already established herself as one of the top defensive players in the area and someone everyone should keep on their radar.
Brynn has been a staple of the Gibault lineup, bringing energy, toughness, consistency, and outstanding defensive ability to the court. This season alone, she recorded an impressive 655 service returns and 549 digs while committing just 70 errors in 73 matches played. Even more impressive, she has already accumulated 846 career digs in just two seasons.
A great libero does more than just make digs. They control the back row, extend rallies, keep their team in points, and give their teammates confidence. Brynn has shown the ability to do all of that and more.
Her defensive presence played an important role in helping lead the Hawks to a REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP this season.
With two more seasons of high school volleyball ahead of her, Brynn has an opportunity to put together something truly special. At her current pace, she could go down as one of the best liberos to ever wear a Gibault uniform, placing her in some pretty impressive company.
Two seasons down, two more to go, and a whole lot of volleyball left to play.

PSA to all the parents as we enter tryout weekend! 1. Remain calm. Your kid follows your lead. Don’t cause them extra stress. 2. Set them up for success by having a plan. That includes a backup plan and makeup tryouts if needed. There are more than enough clubs. You will find a spot if you do this. 3. Be realistic about what level they are looking to play at.
